About 20% freshly pressed grape juice from grapes harvested at Tapada da Ajuda, the University-of-Lisbon vineyard, are mixed into the brew and fermented at relatively low temperature. The result is a fresh blonde beer preserving and nicely integrating the aroma complexity of the encruzado variety into a delicious drink. Congrats to the brewers to have managed to harmonize these two genres, one rather acidic (wine is just above pH3) and the other rather mellow (beer at around pH4,5). You can taste this 2021 Grape Ale at the winery

Embodiment of utopian purity, flavor concentration and origin. Image of an authentic nature tamed through craft and tenderness. Fetish animal of the 2015 generation. Name for our most outstanding vintages, this year sold as a two-bottle box. Vindíma 2020. Perfect grapes of late harvest Moscatel Graúdo from the Arrabida Hills next to Palmela. Destemmed and whole-berry fermented with no additives. Fermentação espontânea. One half in 180L clay amphoraes, the other half in a 225L French oak barrel. More than 60 days of maceration. While the grapes and winemaking processes were close to identical, the wines, as if guided by a magical hand,

Out 2021.

The climate was close to optimal this year, with rain during the first growing months of the vines and berries, then a long steady and not too hot summer that let the grapes ripen slowly to optimum maturity. At the Lisbon vineyards we are once again experiencing the particularity of this Mediterranean climate terroir in

A year during which we had to close straight after opening, and close again in 2021 due to the Corona epidemic. In the meanwhile Catarina and I continued to make our wines. We have processed 6 tons of white varieties from the vineyard of the Instituto Superior de Agronomia, Tapada da Ajuda less than a kilometer away from the winery. This wine is now partly bottled and we are really proud its fine character, multilayerd aromas and beautiful colour. Now that the epidemic seems to slowly reach its end, we are
