Beyond the idea of a politically and socially enchanted, mythical terroir, the workshop explores the deeply urban dimensions of wine and winemaking at various scales, eventually suggesting a discussion on the useful reformulation of the notion of terroir, to include among others environmental hazards like wildfires, wine consumers, and the microbial ecology of wineries.

Der Herbst ist da. Und der Weinherbst ist auch schon vorbei, mit viel Lachen, Schwitzen, Fluchen und langen Stunden in Weingarten und Kellerei. Mit dabei waren in diesem Jahr Davids Onkels und Tanten aus Hausen und Bremen, und zwei seiner Cousins, die vier Wochen unser Leben teilten.
