Adega Belém: The first year
It’s been one long year since we opened the winery to the public. A year during which we had to close straight after opening, and close again in 2021 due to the Corona epidemic. In the meanwhile Catarina and I continued to make our wines. We have processed 6 tons of white varieties from the vineyard of the Instituto Superior de Agronomia, Tapada da Ajuda less than a kilometer away from the winery. This wine is now partly bottled and we are really proud its fine character, multilayerd aromas and beautiful colour. Now that the epidemic seems to slowly reach its end, we are looking forward to receiving visitors once again in the cellar door in Belém. Our doors are open. The winery can be visited. The wines tasted. Lili the cellar dog usually will welcome you first. And we have just started this blog to talk about issues, news and curiosities that are important to us.
