Arinto Maceração diabólica Reserva 2020
Amber. Complex aromas of caramel, honey, dried fig, eucalyptus, truffle, apricot and crystallized orange. Fresh. Perfect. Diabolic. Companion for anything cooked, stewed, smoked or caramelized, that was once grown close to, or inside, the earth.
Golden grapes enamored by wild micro-eukaryotes living on the banks of the river Ota in the Alenquer wine region. Manual harvest. Spontaneous fermentation with skin contact. Aged 613 days in French oak barrels. Limited edition of 555 bottles.
“Deep orangey gold. Smells of almonds, honey and white glue – all those I associate with noble rot. Dried fruits, figs. Very fresh, firmly tannic and with honeyed apricots. Deep, long and complex. Sour and fresh. As they say, this shows the transformative power of fermentation.”
