Wine craft based on a smart use of contemporary cellar technology and a minimal intervention approach brought about by the natural wine movement in France 40 years ago. All wines are fermented spontaneously and without sulfites in order to preserve yeast diversity and to produce complex, organically balanced wines.
Our grapes grow in four different vineyards located on both sides of the Tagus river. Atlantic breezes moderated by the coastal mountain ranges of Sintra, Montejunto and Arrabida combined with long sunshine hours guarantee a long and steady ripening period. Read more
“Made with love…” — the epitome of our dedication and passion for every detail of the winemaking process relying on collaboration with vintners, sophisticated craftsmanship, a responsible production mode, …and healthy grapes as well.
Vivacious beautifully balanced red and white wines made of grapes grown on both sides of the Tagus river, many of the whites with extended skin contact, the reds aginged in neutral French oak. Spontaneous fermentation and minimal intervention winemaking amplify varietal character, fruit and a creamy texture.
Handmade artisanal sparkling wine from Trincadeira grapes grown in a secluded vine garden within the walls of the Caparide priest seminar on the Estoril coast. Crisp, fruity and very elegant. Classical method with 14 months on the lies. Disgorgement à la volé. Hand corked.
DOP Carcavelos is the smallest fortified wine region of Portugal, little sister of Porto, Madeira and Setúbal. In 2024, we are launching our first ever DOP Carcavelos, a 2021 colheita made of Castelão grapes, red, open colored, long maceration, aged in oak, complex concentrated cherry and black fruit, spices, the perfect aperitif or desert companion.

Moscatel Graúdo from the Setubal Peninsula fermented according to the so-called ancestral method whereby a wine is fermented almost to dry (almost all sugar consumed by yeasts) and then bottled to finish the fermentation inside the bottle. In its pure artisanal form, the wine is not disgorged and stays cloudy.
We love to employ old techniques to make new wines. Here, whole bunches of coastal vineyard Castelão grapes were fermented in 200 L clay amphorae. After pressing, the wine spent another 10 months in the amphora to age. The result is a stunningly vibrant wine with a delicious clean blackberry and spice aroma.
The cellar dog selection are beautifully fruit-driven, unpretentious red and white wines that accompany your daily meals, aperitifs and party events. These wines are made without oak contact, thus emphasizing their pure fruit character. Both are named after the winery’s pets, Lili the cellar dog, and Cookie the cellar rabbit, who are extended members of the team.
An exciting journey into the world of wine biochemistry made accessible through lively metaphors and explanations — for both absolute novices and those who have seen it all. We reduce our environmental impact at every visible and less visible step of the production process. We are against ostentatious packaging or plastic wrapping, treat our waste water, use natural cork and paper wrapping, and work with distributors abroad. For us it’s all about the beauty of the wine — for generations to come. Read more
