Description

Based on a batch of 2020 fungi-infected Arinto grapes from within the Alenquer wine region located on the right bank of the Tejo river, we have treated this wine like a noble rot. Hand harvested, cold macerated and slowly pressed. The wine clarified during fermentation and evolved a complex fruit and spice aroma profile typical for noble rot wines. After another 18 months in French oak, like the ugly duckling in Hans-Christian Anderson’s 1843 fairy tale, it turned into an outstandingly complex amber colored white wine. It’s the fruit of taking risks and having faith in the transformative power of the fermentation process.
