“Barrel 23” – Rabo da Rainha Grande Reserva 2020 is a blend of Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional and the press wine of Castelão and Alicante Bouschet. The first year the wines aged separatedly in neutral oak barrels, the second as a blend. Barrel 23 was literally forgotten in the barrel cellar when racking the rest of the wines. The wine spent another year in the barrel and was then bottled in 5L garrafões. Fresh black and red fruit, with notes of forest and some spice. It is broad, intense and long. 45 5-liter bottles produced. Sold uniquely at the cellar door in Belém.
